I'm so thankful that fall is just around the corner.
Yes, I know that the calendar says that fall is officially here, but we're on a bit of a time delay in the sunshine state.
Fall and spring are my favorite seasons. I love Christmas, but winter seems a little useless without snow.
Fall means I can cook stew and chili - the only recipes I get excited about making. It also means I can start dressing the kids in their cozy clothes, making my already huggable kids extra snuggly. I love the smells of fall: fireplaces, pies and applesauce in the crockpot. Fall = Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving = stuffing and green bean casserole... yes, there' s a food trend here. I'm not ashamed.
Above all, Fall is the kickoff of the holiday season so I get to look forward to two months of lights, decorations, family, and of course pie.
I had a bit of a false start this week because the weather guys were forecasting a cold front for this weekend. Now it's a "cool front".
I don't care. I'm busting out the candy corn.

Hi, I want to thank you for such a sweet comment on the That Family Tree Society post today! I am a little embarrassed that I didn't follow the rules . . .
I am so excited to meet someone new! Your family looks like fun too! Love the buildings - I need to take some time and get to know you and your blog.
Not sure if your are interested or not . . . if you are interested in my little blog - I would love to invite you!!! If you are interested, just email me and I will type your little email address into the invitee section and then you can just log right on.
The reason I made my blog by invitee only is on my blog - not enough room here.
Thanks,
Julie of Blessed with Five
