Pardon me while I rant

So I just got home from McDonald's.  Yes, I occasionally take my children to the golden arches.  I think I'm done with them now.  I tried to email my complaint to the company, but an error kept occurring whenever I hit the submit button.  So what's a girl to do?

I know.  I'll post a copy of my email on my blog!

Here's the thing.  I think long and hard before I hit the publish button on any post.  It's nice to be able to think before I put something out there since my mouth is what gets me into trouble 99.9% of the time.  (Wouldn't it be nice to have a "publish button" on our mouths?) But this is in my craw and it's not getting out until I get it off my chest.

So here it is:

RE: Inappropriate Happy Meal toy

I just returned from Store #xxxxx in xxxxx, FL where my daughter received a "Chelsea My Scene" doll in her Happy Meal.

This doll had a bare midriff and a ridiculously short skirt.  If she weren't wearing roller skates and a helmet I would have sworn she was a "My Street Corner" doll.

Perhaps the helmet was your nod to safety, but I think more modest apparel would be a better service to the children you market to so aggressively.

I returned the doll to the cashier and was given bracelets in return.  I commend the employee for his empathy.

However, I'll be giving my business to Chick-fil-A next time I'm looking for a quick, cheap lunch for my kids.

There.  I feel better now.

Does this mean that McD's is now a fan of Hooker Couture?

That's why I always ask for a boys toy for her when we dine there. And besides, she likes Starr Wars toys better that the girl stuff.
