But...

I fix my kids their almost daily quota of PB&J using natural peanut butter, fruit spread (No high fructose corn syrup) and whole wheat bread (not enriched and with 3 grams of fiber).
But I don't blink before pulling through the drive-thru when we're running errands.

I insist on buying only hormone-free chicken and beef from grain-fed cows at the grocery store.
But I don't think twice about what's in those chicken nuggets we get at the drive-thru.

I actually enjoy my exercise routine.
But I love sitting on the couch at night with my bedtime snack which usually consists of chocolate ice cream, brownies or Reese's Cups. Since it's Girl Scout season I'm working on a box of Thin Mints.

I use natural shampoo and soap.
But I have my hair colored every other month with a dye that is chock-full of chemicals.

I use natural deodorant.
But I switch to the hard-core stuff if I'm going to be around people for any length of time. (You're welcome.)

I'm not sure if all of this makes me a hypocrite, selectively lazy, erratic or simply pragmatic. I could probably work harder to be more consistent with my standards, BUT you'll have to pry my Thin Mints out of my cold, dead hand.

I think it means you're making choices... that's all... period. I'll be over to get the thin mints shortly...

I get that way too - buying organic for a few months then back to my old ways. I'll share my thin mints with you!

My favorite is ordering something really fattening...with a diet coke.
It's hard to be good all of the time. If you get it right half the time, you're ahead of the game.

Sounds like you are normal to me. :0)
Because you are so careful about what you eat most of the time you can really mess it up some of the time.
I can pass on the thin mints, it's the Tagalongs that are my weakness. Guess I won't be getting any of those this year. I'm on a serious-I-swear-I'm-not-going-to-cheat one month sugar fast.
