Obi Wan-da is finally getting interested in our garden. She has no use for vegetables when I cook them and apparently no use for them when we plant them either. Hoping to appeal to her feminine side, we planted some sunflower seeds earlier this week and ding! ding! we have a winner! Most of our surefire plans involving Obi Wan-da fail since she seems to thrive on being unpredictable, but thankfully this one worked.
Anyway, as you can see, a couple of plants are just starting to break through the surface. Please, please, please let these flowers bloom. I don't think Obi Wan-da will give us the benefit of the doubt if we have to do a second planting.

That's great that they have sprouted. The birds always find my seeds and eat them before they can germinate.
Could your kids be any cutter? :)
