Yesterday was not a good day. It should have been because it was one of those rare days around here when a major appliance didn't break. But it was still a bad day.
We've been running Doc Brown and Obi Wan-da ragged and yesterday it caught up with us. When Doc gets tired he gets wired. When Obi Wan-da gets tired she gets irritable (I have no idea where she gets that). Put the two together and...Not. Pretty.
Add an impatient mother and it becomes considerably less pretty.
So I had dinner ready the moment PB got home so I could immediately walk out the door and escape before someone got hurt. I've found this wonderful little hiding place for days like these: the library. It's relatively quiet and there are lots of books so I can just wander around aimlessly in peaceful bliss and let my brain chill. And, oh yeah, it's free.
Also, it's close so I was able to get 1 1/2 hour to myself and still be home to kiss the kids goodnight.
All better now.

I love going to the library. I usually come out with a big stack of books that I don't have time to read. Just being in there is relaxing. And, like you said--free!
Hope today was better for everybody!
I get lost in the craft/sewing books...ahh.... it's amazing how much "school" you can find in the DVD/video sections too.
