The Tree Climbing Family is learning how to play chess. PB and I figured the only way we would master the game would be to learn at a child's level. Including the kids is really just a cover for our ineptness. The fact that the kids are quickly catching on and loving it is merely a bonus.
Last night after dinner we all sat down for a girls vs boys competition. PB and Doc Brown started whispering strategy in each other's ear which caught Obi Wan-da's attention. When she asked them to speak up we explained the concept of the team huddle. Not to be outdone here's what she whispered in my ear (loudly I should add):
"Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide."
By the way, the girls won.
