I would love to post a million pictures from the Grand Canyon trip but I can't because I didn't take my camera. Believe it or not I had a good reason for this. I figured there would be three other cameras going on the trip so I would rather leave the camera with PB so he could get some pictures of the kids and their adventures while I was gone.
He did so I don't regret it.
Except some of you might think I took an imaginary trip last week. I really didn't. Here's proof. And here. Please ignore the awful airplane hair. And lack of makeup. We left at 5:30 AM.
I couldn't have asked for a better trip with the girls.
I also couldn't ask for a better homecoming.
I really missed talking face to face with PB. I squeezed in phone calls when I could, but it's just not the same. The kids were asleep when I got home late Saturday night so I was pounced on in bed Sunday morning. It was the best wake-up call ever.
But here's how I know it was a great trip: I was able to hit the ground running yesterday (actually, still hobbling a bit because it was a 12 mile hike roundtrip). I came home feeling energized and motivated and not overwhelmed by the busy week ahead.
What a gift going into the busy holiday season!
So I'm off to get back to my routine minus the stressed out look on my face. Looking forward to a great day.
