Decisions, Decisions

I have a strange problem.  I've been given a gift today and I have no idea what to do with it.

My parents have asked to pick up the kids this afternoon and take them out to look at early Christmas decorations.  This gives me roughly six hours child-free.

Here's my dilemma: I don't know what to do with that time.  Usually I have something pressing to get done when the kids are out with my parents so the time gets spoken for rather quickly.

I've got nothing.

I have some ideas, but nothing that's screaming for my attention.  I know it sounds like "my wallet's too heavy and my diamond shoes are too tight", but I'm honestly at a loss here.

I could always clean the house, but it's been worse.  Maybe a little early Christmas shopping?  I guess I could work on the Jesse Tree ornaments or my shawl.  I do have some phone calls to catch up on...

So maybe my problem isn't having nothing to do.  Maybe it's indecisiveness.

I wonder if there are any good movies I could check out from the library...

Any ideas?

all of the above? I know! that's a preview of when they start getting older and time isn't as much about their immediate needs!

Get in your car. Drive to my house. Clean it for six hours. Drive back home.

Welcome to a little preview of what life will be like when the kids are much older. Now you know why I made the insane choice of going back to school and hopefully one day back to work. Being a full time mommy is the only job I know of that just seems to go away slowly, until you want to stab your self in the eye you're so bored!!! Enjoy the day...do something just for you!!!

Just got back from a 3 hour shopping trip. I bought a blouse to wear for Christmas and some lip gloss that might end up being a mistake. It was great!
