Thank You List Saturday - Gotta Be the Hubby

I've been derelict in doing Thank You List Saturday posts lately. I've been thankful... I promise. Frankly, I've just lost a bit of my blogging mojo lately. I'm looking for it but I don't see it anywhere near my favorite couch cushion.

But I had to pop in today.

Because I'm very thankful today.

PB turns 37 today.

PB rocks.

All. The. Time.

For proof go here.

Or here.

Or here, here or here.

Here's the latest reason why PB rocks:

This week I've been a bit of an over-stressed pill because I've been uptight about an out-of-whack schedule and a long to do list. That's especially bad considering I posted this over at Spacious Living on Monday.... it probably makes me a raging hypocrite. I'm so not proud of it.

So Thursday night over dinner PB recommended I head out to the library for some alone time. Yes, please! My plan was to go to the library, get some work done and then come home and whip up some brownie mix therapy. The only box of brownie mix in the house was an odd brownie/chocolate chip cookie concoction I picked up on a whim. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I was beginning to question the wisdom of my impulse. I put out some butter to soften because I figured it was better than nothing at all and then headed out.

Stay with me here... Over the course of 2 1/2 hours I began to decompress and take some baby steps out of my Tapestry of Grace fog (that's another post for another day). I returned home with a hankering for brownie mix but wasn't in the mood for the effort (yes, I'm that lazy) and wasn't sure it was worth the time for substandard brownies.

Here's what I came home to: a clean kitchen, freshly vacuumed floors and what's that I smell? Brownies. But it gets better. PB said that he didn't mix the cookies with the brownies, but instead baked them separately because he figured I'd like it better that way.

Oh yes he did.

And the unlicked bowl was in the fridge waiting for me.

Now if that's not the biblical definition of dwelling according to the knowledge of your wife, I don't know what is.

Happy Birthday, PB. God outdid Himself when He put you together. I love you!

This is a Hallmark movie in the making--but better b/c it is actually real! Happy Birthday to PB!

BTW, a friend just gave me one of those brownie/cookie mix concoctions as well. Her word is that it is divine. I haven't tried it yet.

Glad you got your chocolate therapy.
